The fin uses the US Box mounting system, which is a global standard. The screw does not require any tools — you can fix it by hand thanks to the mini-handle. The primary purpose of the center fin is to keep the board on course and prevent the wind from pushing it to the side. It can also be used as a larger hind fin.
